This past week, I got a Brazilian customer and consequently I had to write the text in Brazilian Portuguese.

Because characters as “~” and “ç” between others are impossible to achieve by usual means, I made a little list of useful combination keys, to make it a little easier next time I need it.

Using the following will allow you to write in Brazilian Portuguese ( Portugues do Brasil ), without having to install weird plug-ins or buying another keyboard.

- option + n = tilde ( feijão )
- option + ` = grave ( à pesar )
- option + e = acute ( pé )
- option + u = diaeresis/umlaut ( tranqüilo )
- option + i = circumflex ( vovô )
- option + c = c-cedilla ( cachaça )

You just need to apply the combination keys before the desired letter and bammm.
